COVID -19 Update 20/4/2020
Wells Touring Park will remain temporarily closed in line with the government guidance. The minute we are told it is safe to open, we will let you know. We miss you all so much!
A personal thank you from all the team for those that have followed the restrictions by staying at home. We sincerely hope that you and your families are keeping well during this incredibly difficult time.
We, like you, found it especially challenging over the Easter weekend to see the sun shining, the birds singing and not being able to welcome caravans, motorhomes, and self-catering guests to the park and boats.
We are doing what we can to keep you updated on Facebook or emails, please accept our apologies if we have not contacted you directly. It has been an enormous task to inform guests who were due to arrive over the past and coming weeks, please bear with us.
At this point we have no idea when this crisis will be over and so can only say, that as soon as it is deemed safe to travel again, we will be ready and waiting for you.
You may know that we have offered every single affected guest from lock down the opportunity to move all bookings and money paid to a future date in either 2020 or 2021, despite this situation being completely outside of everyone’s control. No one is at fault; we are unable to open, and you are unable to travel. This is the best solution we can offer to ensure that we will be here to offer a ‘happy place’ for our guests when this is all over and to show guests that they are important to us. Lots of you have supported Wells Touring Park for many years and for that we are profoundly grateful.
We would like to say an enormous thank you for your messages of support and for your understanding. It is humbling and so very much appreciated. For the safety of our wardens and all other staff, we cannot expect them to continue to work. Everyone has been furloughed. We are so pleased that we have been able to retain our staff, with the help of the government lifeline, and all onsite staff are staying at the park during lock down.
Hopefully, it will not be too long until we can all get back out and enjoy good times again.
In the meantime, please stay at home and please stay safe.
Jason, Debbie and all the team
